Mjejane Game Reserve
Malelane, Mpumalanga, South Africa
The 10,000-acre (4,000 hectares) reserve is located within the Kruger National Park fence, bordering its southern boundary, with direct access to the park via a low-water bridge. Mjejane comprises unspoiled indigenous bush with more than 6 miles (10 kilometers) of river frontage in an area renowned for its superb game viewing. The riverine forest is home to the elusive leopard and elephant breeding herds. Imagine waking up to the sound of a hippo near your Mjejane bedroom deck, or watching up to 500 buffalos and the prowling predators shadowing them. The resort is undergoing construction/renovation, which is a continuation of the resort's development.
